A gforge server to host open source projects that ThoughtWorkers are involved in.

URL

http://gforge.public.thoughtworks.org

General Rule

This server only hosts the projects that have ThoughtWorkers involved. If your project doesn't meet this criteria, there are the following public open source servers that can host your project.

Request a Project

Have the ThoughtWorker request through the web and it will be approved shortly.

Version Control

A CVS and Subversion repository will be created automatically when the project is created.

CVS

Subversion

  • Anonymous: svn://scm.public.thoughtworks.org/<projectname>
  • Developer: svn+ssh://scm.public.thoughtworks.org/export/groups/svn/repos/<projectname>
  • Web: http://scm.public.thoughtworks.org/svn/<projectname>

Version Control over SSH

You can upload your key here (http://gforge.public.thoughtworks.org/account/) so that you can use version control over ssh.

The following are the instructions to make cvs/svn command line working with ssh.

Website

For security reason, the virtual host in gforge is turned off. You will need to request it seperately. After it is turned on, you just need to transfer your file to server shell.public.thoughtworks.org, and put your files under /export/groups/<projectname>/htdocs.

Please note that SecureFX won't work with this server. SCP is recommended.

More Help

Before we set up a forum or mailing list somewhere, please have the ThoughtWorker in your team seeking contact in the internal email. Based on the question and request this workspace will be updated.
