IronRuby is Ruby on the .Net CLR.
Among the questions we're currently trying to answer with it are :
Is it feasible? How much work would it be? Should we just recompile the C version of Ruby and be done with it? ...has that been done? ...and use that as a baseline? ...or start from JRuby? ...or from IronPython?
Lots of questions.

you are aware that the last summer Google summer of code thing had Ximian/Novell funding a Ruby.NET compiler in C#, right? probably stands a better chance of survival than the other dead ruby .net project links above. --lee
