Here's all the relevant info I've spoken to Kirk about his presentation for Dec 6th.

Well,
It looks as though I'm in the final stages of inking a deal that will
result in me presenting a selection of my Java performance tuning
courses down under. So far the dates look to be November 29 to December
3rd in Melbourne and December 6th to 9th in Sydney. This will be a public
offering hosted by a company http://www.ecetera.com.au/ If anyone on the
list in Australia is interested in meeting up, let me know so I can try
to arrange my travel match schedules.

I'm not sure what Jack is up to with FasterJ right yet. We've been
talking about a number of things. Right now I'm doing some glue work
with the JNI for one idea. [ . . . ]
So, yes I am interested in saying something.. I'm not sure exactly what
just yet. I was thinking along the lines of performance but.. just maybe
generics might be a good topic.

I don't quite know what to talk about at geek night. I'm getting a wee bit bored of the generics arguements though I still think they should be removed from the langauge. I have an interesting performance tuning problem that might work. I'll think of something by then I'm sure

The courses are as described on the website, 3 of them run for 1 day and 1 runs for 3 days. If you want my honest opinion, the best of the bunch is the heap tuning course though many have commented that the other days were useful also. Heap tuning is set for the last day.
