We're all marketers. All marketers are liars. The lie is the story that is told about the product. The best stories are the ones that come from something authentic. Authenticity comes from how well we believe and live the story.

The CruiseControl story is one about being the original. The tool that was referenced by the original article on Continuous Integration. The tool that has been used to sell the concept of Continuous Integration, including the introduction of Extreme Feedback Devices and Lava Lamp build lights.

Our authenticity comes from continuing to focus on supporting and spreading Continuous Integration. It comes from continuing to focus on the visual experience in the work area. It comes from serious play, that is, fun features that are useful.
